On March 23, Commerce Minister Wang Wentao met with SK Hynix CEO Kwak Noh-Jung, and discussed with him SK Hynix’s development in China and China-ROK cooperation in semiconductor industrial chains and supply chains.

Wang Wentao said that China is advancing Chinese modernization with high-quality development, remains committed to high-standard opening-up, and will release more dividends from opening-up and development. He said that as the Chinese economy continues to recover and grow, China is working to foster new quality productive forces and accelerate the development of the digital economy, which means tremendous potential in the consumption of electronic products. He expressed hope for SK Hynix to continue to increase investment in China, further unlock the Chinese market, and share the growth opportunities in China’s high-quality development.

Kwak Noh-Jung said that China has become a most important production base and sales market for SK Hynix. SK Hynix will continue to tap into the Chinese market and strive for greater success in its business operation in China.
