On March 26, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with President and CEO of FedEx Raj Subramaniam. The two sides exchanged views on FedEx's development in China and China-U.S. trade and economic relations.

Wang Wentao said that China has an enormous express delivery market with vibrant market activities and immense potential. For the past decade, China has been the world’s largest parcel handler, which means vast room for development for foreign-invested enterprises in China, including FedEx. It is hoped that FedEx could continue to leverage its unique strengths, seize the opportunity brought by China’s pursuit of high-quality development, and be an active participant in and contributor to cross-border ecommerce in China. China will keep optimizing its business environment and create enabling conditions for FIEs in China.

Raj Subramaniam said that China’s market is full of dynamism, and FedEx is confident in China’s economic prospects. The company appreciates the Chinese government’s steps to attract foreign investment and improve the business environment, and will continue to explore investment opportunities in China.
