October 21, Wang Wentao, Minister of Commerce of the PRC, held a phone call with Vincent Karremans, Minister of Economic Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. They exchanged views on issues such as Nexperia.

Wang said, China attaches great importance to the economic and trade cooperation between China and Netherlands. The relevant measures taken by the Dutch side towards Nexperia have seriously destabilized global industrial and supply chains. Netherlands should act in the overall situation of maintaining the safety and stability of global industrial and supply chains, respect the spirit of contract, adhere to the principles of marketization and the rule of law, hence properly handle relevant issues, protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese investors and provide a fair, transparent and predictable environment for businesses.

Karremans said, Netherlands attaches great importance to the economic and trade relations between Netherlands and China. Netherlands hopes to stay in close contact with China and facilitates a constructive resolution to issues related to Nexperia.
