On June 13, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with Gan Kim Yong, Minister for Trade and Industry of Singapore, in Geneva, Switzerland. The two ministers had in-depth exchanges on regional and bilateral trade and economic issues, and signed the Memorandum of Understanding Between the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Singapore on Enhancing Cooperation in the Digital Economy and the Memorandum of Understanding on Promoting Cooperation in Green Development Between the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Singapore. The signing of the two MoUs will further tap into the potential for cooperation in the digital economy and green development, boost high-quality development of bilateral investment cooperation, and elevate China-Singapore bilateral trade and economic relations.
